As the founder of Kensington Brands, she oversees a dynamic portfolio of ventures, including So Fake Vegan, Maven Market, Dapper Dawgs (coming soon), and Events by Imani, each designed to inspire, empower, and innovate across industries.

Imani’s entrepreneurial journey is rooted in her extensive expertise in brand communication, DEI advocacy, and strategic marketing. Through her ventures, she has partnered with notable brands such as Black Health Matters, Seton Hall Law, Theater Communications Group (TCG), and more, delivering exceptional branding, marketing, and event solutions.

Before establishing Kensington Brands, Imani excelled as Senior Account Manager at Burson (formerly Hill+Knowlton Strategies), leading ESG and DEI communications for Fortune 500 clients, including Walgreens Boots Alliance. Her strategic efforts earned accolades and secured placements in prestigious publications. Her career also includes impactful roles at Omnicom Group's Siegel+Gale, Rutgers' Douglass College, and Odyssey Media, where she collaborated with global brands like Google, Johnson & Johnson, and Walmart.

Currently, as the Global Inclusion and Engagement Lead for WPP's Team Colgate-Palmolive, Imani continues to drive innovation in DEI and engagement strategies on a global scale. She also served on WPP’s Team Colgate-Palmolive AI Taskforce, leveraging cutting-edge technologies to advance organizational goals.

Imani’s academic achievements include a master’s in communication and media from Rutgers School of Communication and Information, graduating with a 4.0 GPA, a certificate in healthcare marketing and communications from NYU School of Professional Studies, and certification from the McKinsey Black Management Accelerator Program. She is also a proud Cum Laude graduate of Rutgers University-New Brunswick and serves as an alumna board member for Rutgers’ women’s college, Douglass Residential College.

A proud new mom, Imani resides in New Jersey with her husband, D’Andre, their dog, Dior, and their son, Jaxson, born in July 2024. She balances her thriving career with a commitment to family, community, and empowering the next generation of leaders.
